Is it really free?
Yes. There's no cost and no obligation.
Can you see our documents or conversations?
No. The assessment never reads prompts, conversations, emails or file contents.
Who needs to be involved?
Whoever starts the assessment can complete most of the setup. If you use Microsoft 365, a Global Administrator approves read-only access, and you'll need admin access to any ChatGPT or Claude business accounts you want included.
We don't use Microsoft 365 Copilot. Can we still take part?
Yes. The assessment covers Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT, whichever of these your organisation uses, and scores them the same way. It reads the most detail from Microsoft 365, because Microsoft exposes the most to a read-only review. Other AI platforms aren't assessed directly, though the shadow AI checks can show staff using them.
Does it cover AI security?
Yes. It checks how your AI platforms are secured and configured, what AI can surface to the wrong people, shadow AI, and what your agents can reach. For AI apps and agents you've built yourself, we also offer an advanced AI security audit, including adversarial and prompt injection testing.
What is shadow AI?
AI tools staff use without the organisation's approval or oversight, such as free chatbot accounts and browser extensions. Company information shared with them leaves your control.
After the assessment, AI Foundation addresses the areas the score measures, andAI Governance and Support keeps them in check.
